Miss America's
Outstanding Teen, Taylor Fitch, Miss SC Teen, Courtney Cisson, Miss Easley Teen, Amanda Parker and Little Miss
Easley, Haley Prince were special guests at the "Festival
of Trees & Taste of Easley" on Dec. 4th, 2008. Pictured
above is Taylor with host, Mr. Garrison.

Taylor
participated with the South Carolina Chapter of Queen for
a Day/Heroes, a national nonprofit organization
dedicated to raising the self-esteem of pediatric cancer
patients at its Annual Holiday Inpatient Visits at
Greenville Children's Hospital on December 12, 2008.
Taylor visited over 65 rooms including the Pediatric
Intensive Care and cancer units, to spread holiday cheer to
children and their families. The pediatric cancer patients
were also deemed "Queens" and "Heroes" complete with crowns,
fireman hats, and other special gifts.

Check out the
winners from the Inspire Wellness Challenge issued by
Miss America, Amway Global and the YMCA! Miss America
commends all of the Teen Wellness Leaders out there for
their efforts in spreading positive messages and fighting
unhealthy lifestyles. Teens from across the country were
eligible for this opportunity and are leading amazing
programs and projects. Many nominations were received and
Amway Global and the YMCA announced the 51 finalists
December 15, 2008. Each Teen Wellness Leader will receive a
$1,000 scholarship and $1,000 donation toward his or her
local YMCA.

We're presenting this information in a one-day workshop,
jam-packed with tips, facts and advice!
The day will consist of four different break-out sessions
for participants.
Sessions will include:

Working with the Camera:
Participants will study
improvisation as a tool to integrate the different styles
and skills for acting in front of the camera for media,
television, film, and reporting.

Preparing for the Entertainment Industry:
From the
importance of first impressions and presentation to the
truth about finding an agent and auditioning, participants
will learn how to navigate a path through the confusing
world of the entertainment industry.

Establishing your Ideal Presentation:
Participants will
learn how to select and apply the right modeling, make-up,
talent, etiquette techniques and overall style to best
highlight their personal strengths. Whether on or off the
stage, these presentation skills will last a lifetime.

Navigate the Interview Room from all sides of the Table:
This session
will teach participants everything they need to know to take
the mystery
out of the interview process. Overall interview technique,
paperwork
completion, platform development and the Children's Miracle
Network will
all be discussed. Participants will also see an actual
judges' ballot in
order to learn the process from all sides of the interview
table!
