America's Outstanding Teen 2009, on Pageant Cast!

Jennings, Miss Iowa 's Outstanding Teen!
Jessica spent her 16th
birthday at the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center,
where she invited others to spend her special day and give
to others by donating blood instead of giving presents to
her! Her birthday/donation was highlighted on two local TV
stations.
In addition, Jessica was asked to be a contributing editor
to the Quad Cities magazine. This magazine is distributed in
two Iowa and two Illinois cities. She has the opportunity to
write about anything of interest to her and other teens as
seen through a teenagers eyes. CONGRATULATIONS JESSICA!
Shannon Folsom, Miss
Maine's Outstanding Teen
Shannon just captured the lead
role in Footloose at Thornton Academy this week where she
competed with 116 other students!
In addition to her
extra-curricular activities and accomplishments, Shannon was
recently quoted in the Journal Tribune on her school project
about students being on the cutting edge of alternative

New Years Resolution- what
are your goals before you give up the crown?
As a new year is upon us, your MAOT Family is curious to
know what your plans are for 2009 before and after you give
up your crown. In addition, we would like to know what your
favorite part of being an MAOT titleholder has been. You
have all had so many successes in 2008 and we would like you
to end your reign with a great sense of pride and
accomplishment! Please send a paragraph to

that includes your goals for the rest of your reign and what
your favorite appearance was during your year. We would love
