Among its initiatives, the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen will host a national competition intended to encourage and reward the talent, communication skills, community service, and academic achievement of girls between 13 and 17 years of age. http://www.maoteen.org en The Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Team will host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness on Friday October 29th, with the support of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2010 Jeanette Morelan. The Tampa Bay Lighting will play the Ottawa Senators in their “fight against cancer night” and Morelan will kick off the night by singing the national anthem. Morelan is on a mission traveling the country as the national teen ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network.
